Permission to stay at Pa Auk Tawya Forest Monastery

For those who wish to take up residence at the monastery:

  1. Download the monastery's Agreement Letter. Fill out and sign the form.
  2. Write a personal letter to Pa-Auk Tawya Sayadaw, requesting permission to stay at Pa-Auk Forest Monastery and to practice meditation under his guidance. Include the approximate date and duration of your planned visit. At the bottom of the page, please print your current mailing address. Also please be sure to include your e-mail address, in case we need to contact you right away.
 3. Mail both the completed form and your written request to:

  Mawlamyine, Mon State
  Myanmar

Please be sure to use registered post as unregistered mail in Myanmar sometimes goes missing.

The monastery will usually respond fairly soon after receiving your written request and completed Letter of Agreement by mailing you our Sponsorship Letter, which you can use to obtain a meditation visa from the Myanmar Embassy.
